Polaris founder and president Mary Anne North brings Polaris clients a broad perspective developed through 70+ client engagements and in operating executive roles at companies ranging from startups (including those she co-founded) to fast-scaling growth-stage companies to large complex global entities. That operating experience includes leadership of multiple functional areas and cross-functional involvement with acquisitions and divestitures. Her experience as an investment banker and venture capitalist provides her with a keen appreciation for an investor's perspective and how value gets created and assessed. 

Mary Anne's industry experience includes information technology, healthcare, life sciences, greentech / cleantech, manufacturing, and services (information, financial, business).  She has a BA from Stanford and an MBA from Harvard. When not helping Polaris clients, she savors everyday athletic pursuits, year-round outdoor adventures, and global travel.

As needed, Mary Anne builds a broader Polaris project team spanning diverse experience levels and functional expertise.
